Mouth cancer can affect the lips, tongue, cheeks and throat. Anyone can be affected by mouth cancer, whether they have their own teeth or not. Mouth cancer can appear in different forms. It can appear as a white or red patch in the mouth, as an unusual lump in your mouth or jaw area, any persistant hoarseness or as a painless ulcer that does not heal normally. The good news is that mouth cancer can be spotted in its early stages by your dental team during an examination. If mouth cancer is diagnosed early, then the chances of a cure are good.
